💻 Mac Installation Steps
Apple is always tweaking its security, so you might run into an error when installing Apeshyt plugins. No stress—we’ll bulldoze through it!
1️⃣ Adjust Your Mac Security Settings
- Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
- Under the General tab, set “Allow apps downloaded from” to App Store and identified developers.
- If the “Anywhere” option is missing, you need to unlock it.

2️⃣ Run the Installer
- First, try Right-clicking the installer file and selecting “Open With > Installer” to bypass security restrictions.
- If that doesn’t work, follow these steps:
- Click the .pkg file to start installation.
- Follow the instructions to install the VST & AU files.
- Download the Apeshyt ‘Plugin Name’.Instruments folder from your email/download link and place it in a folder where you’ll store your sounds.
3️⃣ Restart & Load Your Plugin
- Restart your Mac.
- Open your DAW (FL Studio, Logic Pro X, Ableton, etc.).
- Look under VST/AU Instruments for:
Braumahbeats – APESHYT – [Plugin Name]
4️⃣ Select the Instrument Folder
- Upon loading the plugin, you’ll see this message:
“Cannot find instruments – choose folder.” - Click “Choose Folder” and select the Apeshyt ‘Plugin Name’.INSTRUMENTS folder.
🔧 If You Still Can’t Open the Installer:
If right-clicking and selecting “Open With > Installer” doesn’t work, you may need to adjust security settings using Terminal as a last resort:

- Restart your Mac and try again.

🖥 Windows Installation Steps
1️⃣ Run the Installer
- Click the .exe file to install the 32-bit and 64-bit VST files.
- Download the Apeshyt ‘Plugin Name’.Instruments folder from your download link and store it in an easy-to-find location.
2️⃣ Restart & Load Your Plugin
- Restart your Windows PC.
- Open your DAW (FL Studio, Ableton, etc.).
- Look under VST Instruments for:
BraumahBeats.com – APESHYT – [Plugin Name]
3️⃣ Select the Instrument Folder
- Upon loading the plugin, you’ll see this message:
“Cannot find instruments – choose folder.” - Click “Choose Folder” and select the Apeshyt ‘Plugin Name’.INSTRUMENTS folder inside your instruments folder.

⚡ TROUBLESHOOTING & COMMON ISSUES
🛑 Mac: Installer Won’t Run? Security Blocking It?
Fix it:
- Right-click the installer file and select “Open With > Installer”.
- If the installer is still blocked:
- Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General Tab.
- You’ll see a message about the installer being blocked—click “Allow Anyway”.
- Last Resort: If nothing works, use Terminal to disable Gatekeeper:bashCopyEdit
sudo spctl --master-disable
- Restart your Mac and try again.
🛑 Windows: Installer Blocked by Windows Defender?
Fix it:
- Open Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection > Manage Settings.
- Temporarily disable Real-Time Protection during installation.
- Run the installer again.
🔧 Still stuck? Try running the installer as an Administrator (Right-click > Run as Admin).
🎚 DAW-SPECIFIC SETUP
🔹 FL Studio Setup
- Open FL Studio and go to Options > Manage Plugins.
- Click “Find Plugins” and let FL Studio scan.
- Load your Apeshyt plugin from the plugin browser.
🔹 Logic Pro X Setup
- Open Logic Pro X and go to Preferences > Plug-in Manager.
- Find your Apeshyt VST and make sure it’s enabled.
- Load the plugin on a software instrument track.
🔹 Ableton Live Setup
- Open Ableton Live and go to Preferences > File/Folder.
- Make sure “Use VST3 Plug-in System Folders” is enabled.
- Click “Rescan”, then drag the plugin onto a MIDI track.
🔹 Pro Tools Setup
Pro Tools requires a VST wrapper like Blue Cat’s Patchwork to run VST plugins.
- Install Blue Cat’s Patchwork or a similar VST-to-AAX adapter.
- Open Pro Tools and insert Patchwork on an instrument track.
- Load your Apeshyt VST inside Patchwork.
🔹 Reason 9.5 or Higher Setup
- Open Reason and go to Preferences > Advanced Settings.
- Enable VST Plugin Support.
- Scan for new plugins and load your Apeshyt VST.
🔹 AKAI MPC Setup
- Open the MPC Software (standalone or inside your DAW).
- Go to Preferences > Plugins and scan for new plugins.
- Locate your Apeshyt VST and load it onto a program pad.
